The “bush bandaid” is a herbal styptic powder meaning it is used on wounds to stop bleeding. It is crafted from wild tended yarrow from here on our homestead. Then ground & mixed with kaolin clay powder.
This natural styptic powder is a great thing to have at your home or farmstead. Great to have in chicken incase a bird breaks a nail or when you accidentally cut into the quick when trimming nails. A little dip or dump of the powder will get the bleeding to stop almost instantly.
Not only is it great to have on hand for your animals but it will work just as great on your self if you find your self in a little trouble. Great thing to carry in your first aid kit when out for a hike or a hunt in remote area.
