St. Johns Wort - Hypericum Perforatum

A well known herbal medicinal plant with small yellow sun like flowers. This plant has scientifically been proven to help reduce depression and anxieties as well as antiviral properties. Can also be used as a dying plant. Blooms continually throughout the summer and is well loved by bees. Use caution when working with this pant if on contraceptives and mood altering drugs.

  • Perennial Zones 4-8 but will survive in colder with proper winter care

  • Seed in spring to summer

  • Full sun - partial shade 8-12 hours of Sun

  • Sprouts in 10-20 Days

  • Ideal Temperature: 60 Degrees F

  • Seed Depth: Surface Sow

  • Plant Spacing: 12"

Growing Tips: Perennial in zones 4-8. Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost, or direct seed after. Surface sow, gently pressing into soil: light aids germination. Tolerates most conditions but prefers moist, light soil.
